I did this same exercise in college, it is for practice. The person that allowed it on the web is irresponsible at best.

Why not use fictitious characters or persons already deceased? Agree at a minimum big mistake making that public.

Wouldn't it be weird if Ellis saw that? I mean, if I saw my own before I died it would kind of freak me out.

Mark Twain had his legendary response to this situation.

On the other hand, W.E.B. DuBois saw his obituary published in the paper and suffered a fatal heart attack.

this story isn't real. A student wrote this for a class and I have no idea how it was published. I know because I am the sports editor of the Tennessee Journalist. I would not have let anything that didn't happen for real related to UT be published under my command. And if Ellis died for real, I would have broke the story instead of a staff writer.
