Last night We were going to watch a movie on Prime. I clicked on "Apps" and the blue prime box, and I got a divided screen telling me to login to prime. It gave me a option to use my phone to take a picture of a QR code or put in a 5 digit code of letters. i.e. XUCRBN(not actual letters).
I tried the QR code first and that did nothing. I put in the letters and got a screen that said call this number. Huh?
I called but the guy who identified himself as a prime employee wanted my checking account #. I refused and told him it was a scam. He said "no problem", we have your credit card.

They sent me an email from: Business Express, Inc. noreply@bexpress.us via amazonses.com
Thoughts.

I always look at the expanded address. This looks fraudulent.

And asking for your CHECKING ACCOUNT number? I’ve had more phone conversations with Amazon than I’d like, and this has never happened.

I’d delete your app and download it again from App Store or whatever your OS uses.

You will need to post your login information here as well as your credit card number, expiration date, etc. or we will not be able to help you.

But seriously, delete the app, scan your device for malware, start over. Reset your amazon password from a known clean device before reinstalling the app.

@Go aeiou, superdave gets paid to understand this. (Unlike whatever it is TFG does all day long.)

Do what he says, at least in para 2 lol.

We live in Nashville and have Xfinity(Comcast) TV and Cell phones. I'm using a Xfinity(Comccast) remote for the Samsung TV in our living room.
Went to Amazon reset password. It works.
Thanks

Amazon sent a blast email to everyone in their DB warning of fraudulent contacts and asking that these be reported to them. 🤔

They fooled you
Yep, but
The same screen came up the next night when we went to Amazon Prime Video., I clicked on the same 1/2 of the screen and it went to Prime video. No request for me to call.
So I didn't know what it was, but I gave them no information and no $. Should have never called though.

Edit: Sorry your reply was to Mikey.
