Read a post from OCI about our depth next year at WR and wanted to get others opinion. If Hunter comes back as good as ever and we get a repeat of what we saw from D. Rodgers...which current WR recruit will be ready to step in right away and be the number 3 guy? Not who you think will be the best after 3-4 years but on day one against N.C. State.

Also, how do you feel this groups of WR, considering we keep Croom, Bowles, and Howard compares to the great WR groups of the past?

Dallas will get playing time. Also, I saw that you mentioned Pig Howard, I thought that he was headed to UCF and not here.

To be fair to the others, I haven't watched their tapes. However, I did watch Bowles and he is going to be a great player. If someone is good enough to beat him out of the number three spot, we are really going to have a fantastic group of receivers.

Sit back and enjoy the show guys. I have been watching the Vols for over forty years and you only get a set of receivers like this about once every decade. Enjoy 2012....beacuse they will probably turn pro in 2013.

Croom I think will step up, and energize the offence. I don't think WR is the biggest thing to worry about this year. We have a stable WR core for now. TE is my concern. We have a guy that is very good with route running, but misses blocks and doesn't pull zone coverage. I hope Clear can step up in a big way and open up the slot for some big ganes this year. I believe if we can do that our offense will be balanced, and very hard to stop. Bray has to step up more as a team leader to give them all confidence. Bray also needs to get behind the OC plays, he needs to buy into the run just as much as the air attack.

But, realistically... U all know who it's gonna be... U just don't want to admit it..

Haha.. I was thinking the same thing.

But, I would not be surprised to see Croom as a starter before the year is up. Dude is a beast!

dont think it will be a recruit - i think Teague will get switched back to WR and Neal will go back to RB - Teague would then fit in as slot guy

if i had to pick a recruit id go with Pig for slot (that is assuming CPatterson doesnt sign)
