Personally, I believe Fulmer has earned the opportunity to have another chance -- just one more year -- to get the program headed in the right direction next season, regardless of how this transition season plays out.

There are more out there that believe as Griffith does than is being currently being heard, or who are even attempting to speak. Those fans are just waiting till the temper tantrums subside. PSU fans were thowing these sort of fits a very short time ago about Joe Pa. Currently Coach Paterno, as well as those who were calling for his head, are now reaping the benefits of a cool headed PSU administration. Those who were calling for his head look pretty silly just now...huh? :) GO VOLS beat MSU !

if it were just this year things have started to go bad I would support fulmer as well. Its amazing how many people refuse to accept that fulmer isnt as good as he used to be.

If you really believe JoPa has had anything to do with their resurgance then you are more naive than a 15 y.o. girl going on her first date.

Well then....pray tell...just who is? :eek:k:

Are you serious? JoPa is nothing more than a figure head. His assistants do virtually everything for him, much like Bowden. He's rarely, if ever, invovled in any playcalling, decisions, or anything of that nature. PSU keeps him around because he won't retire, again like Bowden.

Umm...Joe Pa may just be a figurehead, but he's also a coaching legend. High school kids WANT to come play for him. How many kids WANT to come play for Fulmer? All things being equal, which guy would you want to play for if you were an 18 year old football player?

I think you need to read the whole thread to understand where that post came from...

That answer reminded me a lot of the debate last night...it did not answer the question. From your first reply, it appeared that you knew who was responsible for the resurgence of PSU...yet, I don't see the answer in this reply....The only thing fact I see here is that yes he is a figure head, as well as the face of PSU football...a proud traditional football power; NOT some Johnny come lately...what have you done for me lately cry baby program.

Did you not read that I said his assistants do all the work?
