What makes him comparable is the fact many times last year in the tournament Noah put the team on his back on their way to win a championship.. Ellis lacked true leadership whether you want to believe or not..

StunnA keeps it pimpin'..:pimp_2:
Noah didn't put anyone on his back, except maybe a couple of towel boys on the French Riviera. Take Taurean Green off that team and they don't even make the Sweet Sixteen.

Yeah, we can blame Ellis not being a strong leader for the fact that guys like Dan Federman and Tyrone Beaman were his teammates. I'm sure that's the reason those guys sucked.

Personally I think Cory Brewer is more important to the Gators the Green and Noah.

The reason I said maybe is because I'm still disappointed that his teams did'nt do more during his career here..
I think they could have done more damage then they did with him in the lineup..
How? The best player he played with was either Howard Wood, Michael Brooks, or Gary Carter. Not exactly a who's who of all time greats. Carter failed out in the middle of his senior season, a year UT made it to the round of 16 before losing to Virginia.

This might be the sort of thing that kept Pearl from going after Powell very hard. And, also because he was very overrated.

No. It's a simple equation. No point guard=No rings.
I agree that the college game is now driven by guard play and Green might be the catalyst, but Brewer is the best player on the UF team.
Lose him and they go home early. Same can probably be said for Green. Lose one of the two big men and they are still one of the top 2 or 3 teams in the country.
