I was two sections over from the band, and rarely heard them, granted they only brought the small pep band, but it was hard to hear State's band, they played too much other nonsense over the speakers. The only time I truly heard the band was at the end, when we won.
I was one section over and couldn’t hear it.

i think i remember reading we did when Dooley was the head coach and we played LSU on the road but I haven't fact checked that statement.

Yeah we have worn orange on the road before, mostly at LSU, and then when we'd wear color vs. color against Alabama. And maybe at Georgia Tech when we played them more often because they've traditionally worn white at home a lot.

But I don't remember ever wearing orange jerseys and orange pants for a road game.

Back in the day, UT always played Ole Miss at Liberty Bowl stadium b/c Ole Miss stadium was so small. I (and many, many others in orange) saw many UT games there through the years. U of Memphis games as well. My first game there was 1974 to see UT beat Maryland in an offensive shoot-out. UT 7 - Maryland 3. 'Bout froze to death however as the game was played in Dec.

I brought my crew. We sat in section 2 on the home side. I have to say the State fans we were around were very gracious. My daughter has had knee surgery and folks were so nice and helpful. Hats off to those fans.

Yes WTN represented. It was such an easy trip for us to make vs Knoxville. Plus the WTN fanbase has a cohesive relationship with our MSU counterparts. Tailgating is great. And catching up with old friends is also a plus. Great trip.
