My father in law had shingles several years ago. They did not seem fun.

Had them last year. Pain was bearable, but it zapped all my energy. That part sucked.

My father had them years back. Looked like it really sucked. He had a belt that went from his side of his lower back all the way around his back to his stomach and almost made a complete circle. Could barely sleep because everytime clothes or anything touched them it set him on fire.

Mine were on the left side of my face, including in my eye. Won't ever be able to wear contacts again. Missed a week of work. I didn't wanna give up 40 hours of PTO for freaking shingles!
