I wouldn’t put it past Kiffin to state he was staying at Ole Miss and string them along negotiating a new contract, just to ensure Ole Miss gets a playoff spot.

Then he can take his shot at a National Championship. If he wins, his stock goes up. Then he signs with someone else OR Ole Miss rolls out their checkbook or loses him.

He’s shown he has no loyalty. Even if he says he’s staying, he could still go elsewhere after the playoffs. Even to the NFL.

I wouldn’t trust this guy.

If Kiffin leaves Ole Miss after all those tearful testimonials about how he has matured and grown as a family man in Oxford, he will be proven yet again to be a fraud who is unchanged since he screwed us over many years ago. Ole Miss gave him the keys to the program and the chance to be THE man in the history of their program. Moreover, they embraced him despite his D-bag mercenary reputation.

Going to LSU is definitely the easier path. Heck, you have to TRY to be bad to win less than 8 or 9 games there. For goodness sake, Ed Orgeron won a NC - and that guy is as incompetent as a head coach as you’ll ever find.

Should Kiffin stay at Ole Miss, I’ll believe that he finally has developed some character and integrity. I’ll still never fully forgive him for what he did to us, but he’ll have earned some level of credit.

I’m betting he bolts and proves (yet again).
