About Fulmer, if next year, he's still here, and goes undefeated, and wins a NC? Granted, it's most likely not gonna happen, and we probably won't win another NC under Fulmer, but hey, just a question.

Because I'm bored, we're not winning, so there is nothing to talk about, other then how awesome Eric Berry is, and about replacing fulmer.

If sports,specifically the NCAA are controlled on a level most of us don't like to consider,then yes that would be a tell-tale sign of possibility.Because of the irony and the astronomical improbability of it all.:question:

If he wins the rest of the games by 3 touchdowns or better, I STILL WANT CHANGE! I am tired of this teetering back and forth.He has had more than a fair chance, more than any other coach to ever coach a game, high school included.

Fulmer has as much chance of going undefeated next year and winning the national title as I have of spending this coming weekend in an intense session with Salma Hayek.

I used to support Fulmer, even last year I was a homer.

I think the majority of us approved of Fulmer at one point, that proves that we change our mind based on the performance of the team.

It wouldn't change my mind if he found the Lost Ark, the Fountain of Youth and the cure for male pattern baldness. Enough is enough. The time for change is now. It's the only way we can truly put all this garbage behind us and move on.

Absolutely it would change my mind. The fact that this scenario is too far beyond the realm of possibility to actually entertain, not only next year but for the foreseeable future, inspires the call for change.

This is exactly the sort of ignorant blood-lusting sentiment that doesn't make any sense and actually harms the cause of anyone hoping for change to improve the program. If UTwere going to win the National Championship next year, you'd want him fired?

The reason he needs to go is because the program has slipped to the middle of the pack in the conference, and it isn't going to improve under him. Ostensibly, I would think the entire point of change is so it can improve under someone else. If, as the OP asked, it were going to improve to the point of a NC under Phil, why the hell would you change that? What exactly are we trying to move on toward?

That point of view is emotional to the point of stupidity, and it has the potential to get in the way of any sensible argument because it is too easy to assume that anyone calling for a new coach does so from that perspective.

If somehow God himself interviened (beacause thats what it would take) and helped fulmer win a NC. I would not want phil to be fired but I wouldnt mind it if he announced his retirement.

If someone had made that suggestion to us Bama fans last year that we would even be in the HUNT for a NC this year we would have laughed them off the board as well.
I'm not saying we are going to win that or even win another game for that matter, but you just don't know.

This thread really asks a dumb question. Of course we would because he would prove what we've wanted him to prove.

A better question would be if we win out would it change our minds? Me, not really. I'd enjoy beating Alabama, which isn't going to happen, but enough damage has been done. I'm not going to give him a pass for beating the lower end of the SEC like he's gotten in the past (if he can even do that this year).
