Yes I am a supporter of Phil, but I also knew his time had come to go. Just wondering VN, hypothetically if there was a guarantee that Evan & Elliott would commit to the Vols if Fulmer was given the A.D. position would you support him then. It just seems that he is well liked by Eric & James Berry. This is just for fun but could you imagine those twins locking down the secondary for three years.

Only if we were guaranteed all of the Mannings offspring as well.

Evan and Elliot will undoubtably go to tennessee. Their older brother will make sure of that.

If he repayed the payout he was given - I think it was around 7 Million and then I could fire him after a month -- then and only then, would I support Phil for AD.

so you want us to consider whether we want to sacrifice the entire men's athletic department in exchange for two high school kids?

this is one of the worst threads in recent memory.

Leaves a terrible taste in my mouth to think we are at the stage where we have to bribe athletes to come to the U of T.

I actually think PF would be fine as AD but it will never happen. The fan base is split down the middle on him and I just don't think they want any more division. Ive had the opportunity to talk to alot of people about this, students, alums, and fans. It seems like the younger crowd doesn't like him and the older ones do. The younger crowd doesn't remember the 90s. I do think he should have been let go after the 05 season but I still have respect for the man. In time I hope he will be appreciated for the positives he done for the program.

Stupid threads like these remind me why I avoid the Football Forum during the off-season.

Yes, I would take him as AD regardless of the Berry twins! Would be a great AD and a strong supporter of Dooley!

There are no circumstances whatsoever under which I would support Fulmer for AD.

.....not even if his presence guaranteed Peyton Manning, Ray Lewis, Eric Berry, Deon Sanders, Jason Witten, Barry Sanders, Albert Haynesworth,, and John Henderson.....all in their prime.....starting positions at Tennessee for the next 4 years.
