Would Texas A&M Fit in the SEC?

It would definitely be interesting to see them in the SEC. They might give South Carolin, Arkansas or Alabama a run for it's money as the best mediocre team in the SEC.:birgits_giggle:

How about this for a football power conference?

SEC EAST
Florida
Florida State (via Vandy to ACC)
Georgia
Tennessee
Virginia Tech (via SC to ACC)
W. Virginia (via Miss.St. to Conf. USA & Memphis to Big East)

SEC WEST
Alabama
Auburn
LSU
Miami (via KY to ACC)
Texas (via Arky to Independent, Notre Dame to Big 10, & Iowa to Big 12)
Texas A&M (via Ole Miss to Conf. USA & Houston to Big12)

Funny thing is, SOME people would still expect Phil to win the conference once every 2-3 years.

nah, SC is much cloer to an ACC school than Clemson is to the SEC. I still have a little trouble thinking of Arky and SC as full-fledged conference members. Was anyone else aware that SC plays men's soccer as a Conference USA member school?

Vandy in the ACC and Houston to the Big 12? Sucks for those two..lol...The bad thing about a SEC like that is no one would ever win the NC from the SEC again...no way you get through that with one loss or less.

I would rather have Louisville (Kentucky rival) or Ga. Tech (Georgia rival) than TAMU.

Georgia Tech was also an historical rival of UT's -- even though they left the conference in the mid 60s, we kept playing them almost every year up until the early 80s. I'd love to see them back on the schedule again some.
