Someone told me that on 104.5 The Zone in nashville today that Jon Gruden said that he was interested in the HC job on the hill. He also said he heard it on espn radio. Has anyone on here heard that???????

I highly doubt this. Tampa could very well win the South this year....no way he takes a step back

Ridiculous rumor. No half-witted employed coach would confirm interest in an occupied coaching position. There was an example of this recently and that guy got blasted by the media and ostracized by his peers.

It's hard to conceive anyone under a contract would even mention anything publicly.

No he lied...so maybe Gruden learned something from it.

i just don't think chucky is that good of a coach. ya he had a few good teams w/ the raiders and took over dungy's team and won the superbowl against his old team, but since that he's pulled a fulmer and had a nose dive in the nfl

What Chucky definately has is THE BALLS TO GET IN SOMEONES FACE A RIP THEM A NEW ONE!!!!. aka Motivation. If chucky couldnt get our team motivated and ready to take the field and kik some arse then we are doomed

Actually, he is thought of as one of the brightest offensive minds in football. Also, no one works harder than he does in game film breakdown and game planning.

I also believe that UT would benefit from the energy he would bring to the program.

I think Gruden and Cowher should have a death match to determine who will be the next coach. The PPV revenue would be huge for the school.

Those weren't Dungy's players. The NFL isn't college. Head coaches have little say in personnel matters and the salary cap issues almost guarantee a number of your best players will leave for bigger money at some point in time.

Gruden would be great at UT. There would be more excitement than when Johnny came home in 1977.
