Reading in how Berry might be used in the offense how would berry change the way defense played against us if we used berry as an option threat. I personally think its worth a shot, I mean how would defense's even prepare for a game not knowing whether berry was going to run an option play or ainge was going to go longball on someone(which is possible if our rec. group has the speed and talent we know theyve got) or hell even if our running attack steps up to the plate.

In all honesty I think this is getting overplayed a little bit.

Not saying we should do like what we did with Ainge, and take him out every other play or once a series but im sure thety could come up with something, to where Ainge will still get his numbers, I dunno just something i was pondering!

I think one of the first things the D would key on would be who was playing QB. Berry in running play, Ainge in normal offense.

He had better spend the fall getting as many reps as allowed playing on the defense. If he is the Vols starting CB (which I think he will be) playing in the SEC, he will be burned a few times by lack of experience. Anybody remember Jeremy Lincoln, who was also the number one cornerback coming out of high school?

Yeah but with someone who is athletically inclined like berry

No, in the past we've tried running QB sweeps with middle aged walkons?

We've had a gimmick package with a fast guy in the shotgun taking snaps for years but have never really committed to using it.

Did we call it the "Polecat"? Does this prove that Houston Nutt has still never had an original idea in his life?

I had my own name for I thought the offensive set should be called whenever Eric Locke came in at QB, but board rules dictate that I should not share it.
