Worst you've melted after a loss?

For me it was the 1926 Vandy game. We were coming off 7 straight wins in which we'd only allowed 14 points and beaten LSU, Sewanee, Maryville, and even Carson-Newman. Then we get killed by Vandy. I punched out the front windshield of my brand new Ford Model T after the telegraph came through with the final score.

For me it would have to be after the 2011 UK game. That game made me realize that Doofus wasn't the answer. I remember snapping my remote and kicking the door off the hinges.

I got so drunk after Vandy blew us out in 2012 that I was still hungover Monday - I got my CCW permit picture taken that day and I look $h** faced. It's honestly a great story when I tell friends and show them my drivers license vs my CCW id, always good for laughs.

2010 LSU was pretty bad too. I was dating a girl and it was the first (and last) time she watched a UT game with me. It's probably the only time I've literally paced the house, fists clenched, red faced cussing a storm.

2008 UCLA game when we lost in OT on a Daniel Lincoln FG miss. It was that moment I jumped off the Fulmer wagon for good and thought it was time for a change at that point.

We were double digit favorites heading into that game, only to watch it unravel with a 2nd or 3rd string qb drive down the field against our D for the go ahead score.

Ive only lost it a few times over games, mainly SEC games against UF, but this one for some reason caused an indention in the drywall in my bedroom.

I was there with a buddy of mine. Seemed as though we were the only ones wearing orange and 100k plus was laughing at us!

2006 Gators 21-20
Multiple daggers to the heart for this awful tear your heart out loss.
Same game On the game winning drive where Tebow converts a 1st down on 4th and 1. Also Vols didn't score score more than 2 tds instead 2 fgs that kept the Gators in the game.

Leak throws a td with 6:30 left damn d can't stop when needed the most, and even worse roughing the passer denied the Vols a int for a td.
Replay showed swiping at the ball but worst case the vols defender made contact with Leak's helmet. Also what is a reviewable play never was reviewed as Gators are givena 1st down very late.

I was in complete shock at what I saw.

LSU.

You can pick which one: 2001 SECCG in ATL which would have sent us to MNC game. Or the 2010 untimed last play after we thought we had won with 27 defenders on the goal line.

I was at both.

It wasn't a loss but I was so PO'd after the '93 tie with Bama. Palmer ran right towards us on the 2 point conversion.

I was in the stands the day Dooley decided to go for overtime against Missouri in Neyland stadium. Time on the clock and at least 1 timeout remaining. Feel free to refresh my memory here.

I turned to my friend next to me and said "If we lose this game (we did) we have just witnessed coaching suicide.

I was at that game as well, sitting a couple rows up behind Mizzou bench. As time ran out on regulation, I said to my wife, "Dooley just fired himself."

2001 SECCG is hard to beat for disappointment. One week after such a great victory vs a team we had already beaten - with the Rose Bowl at stake. I couldn't eat or sleep for a few days.

1990 BAMA game.... Ugh, I still get sick thinking about how poorly Majors game planned that one.

Last year's Florida game. I didnt get to watch it live due to a wedding of a close friend (he's a LSU fan). I checked the score during the reception on my phone (not during the actual ceremony, young-uns) and TN was winning. I mistakenly thought that it was a final score. I was so, so happy. All the way home I was happy. I put the kids to bed and decided to watch part of the game - I had recorded it.

But Florida score a touchdown giving them more points than they had in the supposed final score. I was dumbfounded. I kept looking for a flag or something. Surely this TD would be called back. But no. It was unreal. It felt like I was experiencing an alternate reality. I checked the final score on my phone again. The gators had won. I was crushed. I didnt sleep that night and was in a bad mood at work the next day.

It was truly terrible.

Watched the UF game last year on the phone with my buddy who is a Gators fan. Was rubbing it in pretty good in the 4th quarter.

"Callaway down the sideline" is a call that still haunts me. I went and slept for about 8 hours after that and was irritable the rest of the week. Nothing broken but a lot of inner torment.

This will sound bad, but I couldn't call anyone that is a Florida fan my buddy.

The way I felt after that game I would have laid hands on any Gator that ran their mouth about the win.

Does it have to be a Vols game? The biggest sports meltdown I have had was when the Dallas Mavericks lost to Golden State in the first round of the 2007 nba playoffs. That was the only time i've broken s*** because of a game. I was a teenager and it was so bad my mom threatened to call the cops on me.

I was in the Swamp for the Florida game last year. I remember telling my buddy in the 4th quarter that the team with the most rushing yards has won this game the last 10 years and we had 100 yards more than them. ;(

That whole week before the game I was getting over a cold, after we lost like we did it made me PHYSICALLY SICK I slept 20 out of the next 24 hours(I was only able to wake up to eat, then unpack) it turned in to the longest cold I ever had in my life.
