Oh boy.

Obama's Economic Growth Record Is The Worst In 60 Years - Investors.com

Telling:

In fact, the real GDP in 2009 was lower than it had been three years earlier (in 2006). Only two other times since 1932 had that been the case: in 1933 and '34 (during the Great Depression), and from 1946-48 (coming out of World War II).
But it's what the economy did in the subsequent three years in each instance that's striking:
From 1935-37, under Roosevelt, real GDP growth reached as high as 13.1% (in 1936).
From 1949-51, under Truman, real GDP growth reached as high as 8.7% (in 1950).
From 2010-12, under Obama, real GDP growth hit a mere 2.4% (in 2010) — and never again hit even that meager mark in the two years following ObamaCare's passage.

But raising the minimum wage and mandating Head Start for all will lead to massive growth...

This is a bogus article. Sure, FDR, had the Great Depression And Truman had the war. But we must factor in the extreme consequences of having Bush as a predecessor. The Democrats speak about it and the media parrot it And all of us must factor in The devastation of Bush presidency.

In fact, the only thing of historical record worse than Bush is the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs.

This article must then be taken with a grain of salt.

Mine are good people. My mil died in front of me 2 years ago. Was down for 8 mins. Came back. Had 3 heart attacks with in a month.

After a year of therapy she is starting to walk again.

We don't agree on politics though lol.

As usual, that article is EXTREMELY and INTENTIONALLY misleading.

First, it assigns a growth rate to Bush based on the entirety of his last four years.

Second, it assigns a growth rate to Obama for his full four years.

When he came in after Bush, the growth rate was severely negative. It is irrational to tag Obama with the consequences of what had occurred before him in this respect.

The denial is strong with those who voted Forward. Jobs down and taxes up. Time will reveal. The it's Bush's fault can't be copied and pasted indefinitely. Obama owns this mess and it's only getting worse down the road.

It's all they have.

and it's sad....yes things took a turn for the worse under Bush....many things that happened prior to his term created the issues....housing bubble comes to mind....and the libs all conservatives loved Bush for some reason....most did not.

I believe last quarter under Bush was -6.2.

Housing market crash....why dont you tell us what Obama has done to try and jump start the economy....he created a jobs council that never met and then disbanded, but other than that I cant think of anything....well....trying to ban guns created a run on them and ammunition...

Obama is a presidential version of Derek Dooley.

Yea he inherited a bad situation. So people are glossing over the incompetence and bad results with "it's not his fault, it's the guy before him."

Eventually though people realized, you know what.....this guy just sucks. He's making things worse.

Did you read the article? They are looking at the average/term.

W's average was drug down by the 25% of his term that was negative. Obama had just 12% of his term negative.

Further, even in cases after severe down turns, subsequent growth has been strong - even in the Depression (see highlighted quote)

I noticed you left out Q4 2012 - kinda the point of the article. Growth has be subpar by ALL standards, even following financial turmoil.
