The talking heads on ESPN are practically foaming at the mouth at the thought that the women's tournament might get slightly interesting before the Final 4.

And they would be wrong, no matter which way they came down on that question.

If I was a male anchorman and ESPN ever asked me to cover any women's game I'd probably quit...

On that note - and I really don't intend to pile on the women's tournament . . . but the early rounds are tough enough to watch for more than 30 seconds. Why does ESPN trot out JV announcers for these games? You can't tell me that ESPN can't find somebody better to hold an audience than Linda Cohn!? It's like listening to Hillary Clinton do play by play.

They can, but poker and the spelling bee get first priority.

Yeah I'm sure you would, and if you were a male anchor and asked to cover UT football I would quit watching that second, get a clue

Actually, to help resolve the current dispute, let's change that atl to say that if you were "an anchor," not male or female, and you were told you had to cover women's bball, then you would ask me to kill you.

I'm just thinking out loud here, so bear with me... but WHY was UT, the #1 seed, playing AT Pittsburgh... AGAINST Pittsburgh?

Same reason TAMU had to go to Kentucky to play Louisville. A bad selection committee. They probably knew the Vols would win anyways.

Perhaps this is true but playing 100 miles away in Lexington isn't exactly playing in your home gym...
