Wolfenstein: The New Order

What do you like about it?

-The gunplay is extremely fun.
-Most chapters you can take on either guns blazing or by using stealth. The stealth gameplay was surprisingly good.
-It isn't as linear as most FPS. It is a linear story but almost all of the big combat areas have multiple paths and ways of attacking the enemies.
-The game tells a very good story.
-The alternate history that the developers created was very interesting.
-Very cool level designs.
-A good variance of enemy types including a couple awesome looking bosses.
-I love how they managed the perk system. Upgrading your equipment and abilities based on things you actually did in the game instead of using the same old experience system that is in every game.
-The dismemberment of a Nazi is extremely satisfying.

Wondering the same. I downloaded it and thought it was pretty average. Granted, I've only played for about an hour.

That is one of the three things that I didn't really enjoy.

-The prologue was too long.
-The hideout sections of the game kind of felt like filler but they were pretty short.
-Picking up ammo and health up off the ground was pretty tedious.

I've had a great time with this game. I've just really enjoyed it. I don't mind having to look for health and ammo, makes it a little harder. The stealth gameplay is fun, love running around with two silence handguns or a couple knifes. Three a knife at a guy and shanked another guy, awesome. Has been fun to me

This game is finally on sale in the Xbox One store for 39.99 for those interested. I plan on spending the next two days playing...

Is this worth the $40? I'm highly considering it. I love alternate history stuff. I'm also thinking about going all digital as well. Has anyone done this?

Its awesome. The story is very good and I do love how you can be stealthy or go in guns blazing or do both. The combat is excellent. The cinematics are excellent. It really is like playing out a movie.

For me, its well worth the $40. The game seems to be pretty long and theres lots of extra stuff to collect. It never get old sneaking up on a Nazi and slitting his throat or just ramming my knife through his skull. Also the perk system is nicely done and a nice change up other FPS perk systems.

Im about 20% in and ive got no negatives to mention...other than I do kind of wish there were more weapons but idk if theres more later in the game or not.

I'm going all digital, especially now that pre-loading seems to be arriving with Destiny. I don't like swapping disks and I rarely trade in games. I'd rather just download than hitting a midnight release or having to deal with Gamestop --- who, by the way, recently sold me a used copy of a new release without mentioning that it was used. I won't shop there again.

Screw Gamestop. I hate that place. I will probably go digital in the future.

I would be all digital if prices weren't full retail. It's hard to drop $60 on a digital download when I see it on sale for $40 at a retail store or Amazon.

They've done that to me before. Just rang it up and put it in the bag before even telling me. I'm weird about buying games used. Every time I go in there to get a game they pester me non-stop about getting a used copy over new. If I don't already have GS credit though I just buy all my games at Target and PM Amazon.

I rarely buy used games. If I do it is off ebay. Not Gamestop.

Slickdeals has always steered me in the right direction. Occasionally, Gamestop has good offers on used games online. They are not that often, though.

I rented it while I had an Xbox One and really enjoyed it. There's only one store to rent games at in my city, so the selection is limited. When I traded for a PS4, the other guy included a copy of Wolfenstein. I'm looking forward to starting the campaign over and trying to be more stealthy lol

I beat it once and now I'm going through again on the other timeline and getting all of the collectibles I missed. There is a really good guide with youtube videos and everything if you Google it. This will be one of the few games ive gone for all achievements on.

Btw you only have to finish the last chapter on Uber to get the achievement (or trophy for PS)
