WKU game - day or night game?

I'm guessing this game will be nationally televised like last year on ABC. This would have to be a night game I would imagine.

She better not be announcing SEC games. If you didn't play the sport at one time then you have no business announcing it or doing play-by-play on national TV.

That's pretty brutal. If that were a rule we'd have no Al Michaels, Vin Scully, Keith Jackson, or Brent Musburger.

They didn't play in high school or even little kid YMCA leagues? I know for a fact that the girl didn't play any organized football.

I doubt it will be an abc game. They usually cover pac-10, acc, big 12, and big 10 games. Even with UCLA being a pac-10 team, it is in our stadium so it will more than likely be an espn prime-time game. I don't think CBS usually airs games this early in the season.

When I played in a league as a kid, we had a girl as a quarterback. She was actually pretty good. She did wind up liking girls and going into the military. So, she should have been a boy I guess.

regardless of when its played, it will be nice to play a season opener that isn't that "iffy". i think the last time we had one of those was in 2005 against UAB.

Hopefully, a night game. More time during the day to tailgate and liquor it up.

Which is a game, if not for Morley's INT in the 4th, that could have easily went to OT when UAB was outplaying us. Ugh that was a rough year too.

That's one of the things I am looking foreword to hopefully seeing from this staff and that is not being afraid of putting a team away instead of worrying about hurting there feelings because you might run the score up and make them look bad.

That's not entirely true. Is there anyone on this board who HONESTLY thought there was a chance UCLA was going to beat us last year? I sure don't recall anyone truly entertaining that possibility at this time last year.

True, but remember ABC and ESPN are both owned by the same company, Disney.

Yes you are correct, but i just don't seeing it being aired by abc.

Its possible the game might be on ABC! I haven't heard but with the new ESPN contract some games might be on ABC because there is no longer "ABC Sports" all sporting events on ABC are now under the ESPN Family and when an event is broadcast its called "ESPN on ABC".

This is true especially after what happened last year. I dont honestly think WKU will beat us but I dont look past anyone anymore.

ESPN cannot put their SEC games on ABC, per the contract. CBS has broadcast network exclusivity for SEC games.

Of course, this only applies to SEC home games, which the Bama-VT game is not.

ESPN can place games on the following: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Regional (which replaces the Raycom package, and will feature games at 12:30 ET and be known as SECTV).

As far as PPV games, each team is allowed to select 1 game for PPV per season. Every other home SEC game will be carried by CBS or one of the ESPN outlets.

Over 50% of the TV schedule, including game times will be released after the SEC Spring meetings in May. This will include the complete TV schedule for the first three weeks of the season.
