Witten to retire after 15 years

Good for Jason. Nothing left to prove on the field. We won’t get a ring in any time he has left. And he has a great opportunity here. Look forward to his HOF induction.

And now we need to get another Cowboy on the remaining broadcast channel. 😬

Top 2 TE of all time if you ask me. Especially considering that he was an iron man for his entire career.

I would put Gates and Gonzales in front of him and maybe Gronk. There are a couple old timers, wycheck, Sharpe, winslow, ditka and Mackey. Not sure where he would falk in there pure football wise. But all round player / man, im not sure it gets better. 1st ballot hof for sure.

I agree on Gonzales but Gronk gets hurt too much, missed too much time.

Gronk can't carry Jasons dirty jock.

He'll have to prove himself for several more years and he can't stay healthy.

You're well loved in Tennessee Jason.

Best of everything for you and your family!

VFL...GBO!

We haven’t been elite since Witten left. Man that’s been a long time

Frank Wycheck of the Titans? Better than Witten? You gotta be kidding! He is not in the same stratosphere as Witten.

You gotta be f-ing with us. There was a time when Gates was much more dangerous, but to me there is no comparison when you factor in blocking ability, QB's, and look at their careers as a whole.

Gronk can't stay healthy, so he's out.

Gonzales is #1 in the SB era. Then probably Witten, but I wouldn't argue Sharpe.

The lively language really helps drive home your point. Check just about any ranking of te and witten generally ranks around 8-10 all time, and in most all of them.....behind gates.

Kellen Winslow was better than both Gonzales and Witten, it's not even close. Dave Casper was as good as either one of them too. So was Mark Bavaro and Todd Christenson

Yeah, id put winslow and casper up there as well. Dont know alot about the other two.

Heck Delanie Walker is creeping his way up as well. For a couple yeara there he lookes like the only real player the titans had.

Awesome. You got an opinion. Witten’s a first ballot HOF...that’s mine. And I like the odds on mine being validated. :)
