With Hurd out ...

Seriously, Kamara had 127 and 161.
Why and the hell this staff has pampared whiny ass Hurd when they have a legit superstar is beyond me. If you want a treadmill star, Hurd is your guy. He has complained and bad mouthed this offense for two years. Butch should have kicked his azz to the curb.

Please stop. I hope his so called uncle is reading this crap. It is his fault we say Hurd is whiny. So Travis Stephens this is for you for defending his uncle and legitimizing 74. Because of his uncle, stupids in the fan base blame Hurd for being a bad seed even though there is no proof Hurd wanted to transfer or hated the offense. We are not mad at Hurd, he is blamed from guilty by association. But, Vol34 and others keep defending 74 and let Hurd keep getting thrown under the bus by his loving family.

288 yards again best overall team UT has faced all year. Hurd is holding offense back. period.

look at the freaking numbers.

Some more numbers: A&M had six sacks, I'd wager it would have been less with Hurd's ferocious pass blocking. Point is, we need ALL the bullets in the gun.

I really like Hurd. But it's obvious a quicker back that hits the hole is a better fit in this scheme. Now if you line up under center and give Hurd a running start he would be better. But obviously Jones and company do not want to put Dobbs under center, even when we only need one yard. So to answer OPs question, in this offense, Kamara and Kelly are better fits.

Kamara and Kelly have a step or two on Hurd... and a small hole is all they need. I have seen Hurd run through 1 hole clean this year...all other runs he has 2-3 defenders on his back. So... using speed in the backfield for the Vols would be a good thing.

Kelly and Kamera both have a low center of gravity and make yards after contact. Hurd runs much higher and has gotten his yards by sheer power but gets stopped more and puts himself in risk of injuries.
