If you've read "Meat Market," then you know that LSU is Ed Orgeron's dream job. The fact that he turned them down to come to Knoxville tells you everything you need to know about what he thinks about Lane Kiffin. And Orgeron knows him some football.

Never met a hero, myself, since by definition [in Classical Greece] they have to be half man and half god. The next "hero" rescuing a cat from a tree will face my wrath.

The punishment will be killing hundreds of my own brain cells until I can ignore such ridiculous overuse.

Right now it is safe to call Lane Kiffin the son of a genius. Otherwise his name and that word in the same sentence cannot be supported with facts. Hey...I'm sure nobody called Monte a genius when he was 34 either.

I agree with the sentiment expressed by others that good coaches will modify and mold their own system around the talent that they have to maximize its scoring potential. Meyer did that to the nth degree with the Gators in '06 and of course in the meantime has recruited the types of players with the skill sets he wants in order to make his system run the way he originally intended.

I suspect Kiffin will do the same. He doesn't have the players available to him at this point to be that competitive, I don't think. But given enough time it certainly appears that he is on track to get them.
