this makes the odds very long for another SEC to bring home the national championship....

the pollsters are for some reason overly obsessed with non-BCS teams as of late and are aching for a chance to slip one in the title game, plus Ohio St. has a soft schedule they should be favoured in every game and Oregon is unlikely to lose another game. That would leave even an undefeated Auburn or LSU (for arguements sake) out again of the national title game seeing as Auburn and LSU appears to be the only teams with undefeated records and within striking range of either the #1 or #2 spots in the polls assuming a few teams fall.

Not lookign good for getting an SEC team in the title game without Alabama being undefeated.

A one loss sec champ still likely makes it in unless Ohio state and Oregon both go undefeated.

I wouldn't call the buckeyes and ducks schedule soft; PAC 10 and big ten are not as good as the sec but at least in the same ballpark this year.

I would bet almost anything that both Oregon and Ohio St. lose.

Probably; though tOSU typically struggles against Illinois. It's just one of those matchups.

The ducks ought to be favored to win the PAC but they have a ways to go to talk about winning em all.

I don't think the Big 10 is very good. With that said, Ohio State is lucky they don't play Michigan State.

Apparently, with Bama losing, the football season is officially not worth watching.

The only other sec team would be auburn if they win out IMO

OSU could lose, but they're easily the best team in the conference. Unless John Clay goes off, I find it pretty unlikely that OSU loses.

I'm glad the Sausage King of the Midwest agrees with me. I hate the rest of the SEC. I never, ever want to see them do well.

do you think not having an SEC team win the title will help or hurt Tennessee's recruiting?

on one hand you can promote how the SEC continually wins the national title and is the best conference in the country, on the other hand you have to directly recruit against the title holder and convince players that they have a chance to come in and win against that team...just curious about what yall think

LSU is also very mediocre.

LSU is a great team, as far as talent is concerned, with a terrible coach. I suppose that averages out to mediocrity. They could lose to a bad team or make a good team look horrible. Who knows...
