Not that I seriously recommend this, but I used to know a girl who went to all the road games; she'd always make a batch of chocolate chip cookies the night before and take them with her. She said it was amazing how graciously the oppposing teams' fans would treat her and her husband once she'd shared the cookies with everybody sitting around her. "It's amazing -- give them two lousy cookies, and suddenly Florida fans are sharing their booze with you and suggesting places to go after the game."

Believe it or not, I remember her telling me that a lot of fans were suspicious and wouldn't eat any of the cookies until they'd seen her and her husband eat one first.

I could never quite decide whether I approved of what she did or not; it sure smacks of fraternizing with the opposition, but she said it always made sitting among the enemy a lot more pleasant. Hard to argue with that too much.

I sat in the student section at USC last year wearing a blue "T" hat and nothing orange showing bc my shirt was covered by a sweatshirt. I was sitting next to a friend of mine from home who was a SC grad. As you probably remember their fans started throwing bottles onto the field, one whiskey bottle was intended for my hat but instead struck my friend in the back of her head and busting her wide open.

You guys got a point, sounds like I'll be wearing my Foster jersey Saturday.
Go Vols!

Good man :hi: And if you need any assistance, there will be a large contingent of Vol fans there so get one of them. I'm sure they'd love nothing more than to back up a fellow Vol.

The student section at any rival's stadium is going to be a mixed bag. The only people you will have any serious problems with will be drunk students, but as long as you aren't obnoxious to them or try and start a fight you should be fine. Remember that just because you are a visitor does not give them the right to throw things or become violent with you, and you can always get your brother to find an usher. Always, ALWAYS, wear the Orange with pride no matter where you are in an opposing stadium. My entire mother's side of the family are *cringe* Alabama grads (or Auburn grads, but we all pretend they do not exist), but I've never had a problem outside of the name calling when I've visited their stadium in the past.

Wear orange, just don't run your mouth and you will be fine. I've done it many times around the SEC.

Well this may be one of my last posts before the game. I've gotta drive an hour & a half to T-Town tomorrow & stay at my brothers Friday night, that way I don't go Saturday & sit in traffic all day. His apartment is literally right beside the stadium. If they show the student section during the game I'll most likely be the only one there wearing a white #27 Foster jersey.

Talk to you guys after the game.

...out of curiosity, they don't allow video cameras in the stadium do they? I'm sure they don't but I wanna be sure.
