SEC is 5-2 in bowls so far and should finish 7-2. Yeah we must be all paper!

Yeah, I must be. I can look past some corny nerd's poor writing and see that he has the right idea, just doesn't communicate it well. Wanna marry my sister? Maybe you can see the facts then.

I saw the facts and they could have been presented in a much different light. Instead of a freak of nature. Our checkboard kids played hard and hit hard. Set a very good tone and Represented the SEC Well. Did they made game changing mistakes yes, but did we recover yes. The Bucky Badgers didn't. I could see that he may have moved from children's books to sports reporting. But it is degrading to put it in the tone that he did for both teams. Was the best of the Bowl Season. No. Did we give it away, No. Did they No. It is what it was and today the better team won.

Do not take the effort away from these players or the staff or the universities with BS Commentary.

OBW, What does your sister look like. Why don't you mail him a picture of her and see what he thinks or his comments on her. She maybe a 10 but his description would be like that of Miss Piggy.

My point exactly, a journalist should never have poor communication skills.....

Your original post insinuated he was wrong, not that his writing skills were bad. I was just saying, he wasn't wrong, but his writing skills are bad. He wasn't saying anything more than neither team played well enough to win in a normal higher tier bowl game, and he is absolutely correct.

My sister isn't a 10, she has let herself get fat and I remind her everytime I see her she needs to do something, I was being sarcastic anyway.

Wow, some sound logic in this piece. So the Badgers gave the game with their mistakes, yet last year was a "smackdown" by a superior Penn St. squad?

I think the author was really upset he had to throw away his "Wisconsin beat SEC 3 straight times" piece that spouted Big 10 superiority.

I not giving in to a 100% of the facts as presented by him, but there have been plenty of bad bowl games for him to comment on and to do it in that light is BS.

Unfortunately, This is how UT Football is viewed by many from the outside looking in. Fair or Unfair

I do not like it and if they MH, CPF and others cannot fix it, then a change is needed....But you cannot take this game away from them with trash talk.

I guess it doesn't matter that Wisconsin never led the game, and Tennessee could have easily been up 28-7 at half

I was pretty sure, even with the dismal 2nd half, that it was clear that Tennessee was more talented and more prepared than Wisconsin.

i think we would have had a more dominant win if we didn't do the trick play while we were driving and left ainge in instead of doing the Ggun. that could have added at least 14 more points.

35-17 looks like a dominant game to me

who cares
we won

next year, 5 years, 10 years we sill won

just like in '81

With the adversity this year, the up and down season, some of the staff leaving, I truly believe that WE earned this Win today. They Earned it today and it was not a Gift of the Bucky Badgers..

It was one of the few big games where I could watch and say we were just better than the other team.

i'll agree with him as far as this: the vols did their damndest to lose this game. the reason they didn't was because wisconsin wasn't good enough or tough enough to take it. there, are we on the same page?

I can agree with the above. but you are taking about 2% of the article. It laids blame on both sides. Poor communication technique and definitely not a sports writer. (read above) the point being sad way to go for sour grapes. We survived a very ugly season and turned it into a winner. It is not how ugly it is, its the score at the end of the game. I do not need an idiot to put that in country boy terms by being cute.
