Wireless router for 360

I have road runner so every time I want to go from the 360 to the computer I have to unplug the box and move it. Will a wireless roughter help me? My 360 usess eithernet and my computer uses usb. Do I have to buy the 360 wireless add on that is 100.?

There are a few ways to tackle this problem. My solution.

1) keep your modem near your 360.
2) purchase a wireless router and a wireless card for your computer at CompUSA, should be able to get each in the $20 range.
3) Connect your modem to your router, then your 360 to the router.
4) Install wireless card in desktop and connect to the router wirelessly.

Thanks, what is that $100.00 360 wireless add on for the 360? I asume eithernet is better than usb?

Hey rwemyss, being a mod you might know. Does Volfreak run this operation off a home computer? Are you good friends with him? How does it all work?

The site runs off a webserver. He pays the host. I've met Freak once, before last year's 'bama game. Good guy. He hasn't been around the site much in the last month or so, and it runs pretty well anyway. :) :lol:

its been more than a month. he hasnt been on much since he changed PJ's to UofSmack.

I knew my ears were burning. :p

I have an off site dedicated server that runs VolNation. A good well built home computer would be fast enough to run it but the bandwidth on a cable modem would not be near enough to keep this place running smoothly.

PJ's was dying anyway and UofSmack was the members idea. It's just hard to promote something like that during the summer. And yes, Braveschop was left a mess. I might scrap them both.

I'm still around here, I'm just not always seen. :) I'll be on more and more as football practice approaches.

i wouldnt scrap uofsmack yet. Braveschop blows but id give uofsmack a chance once football gets closer. It would still be doing pretty good if you wouldnt have gotten rid of "Who you cant stand on VN" thread.

I went and checked out uofsmack earlier and if we could get that board running like VN but with a wide variety of fanbases it would be a really awesome board. It has a lot of potential.
