Fine, go through the setup in the documentation and change your SSID to something other than the default so that you can differentiate it from others around you.

That's a start...

i just bought a new linksys router too. it wouldn't connect until i ran the horrid linksys software on my laptop. it also pisses me off it doesn't let you pick your own password. my ps3 connected to it fine though.

I called mine roughter fine. I click on roughterfine and it searches for a min and says nothing found. If I click on local linksys and it works.

i had the same exact problem. try installing the linksys cd on the laptop and run the setup.

Ditto, the only way I got mine was to use the install CD. Now I am using a Motorola receiver card with better luck.

You shouldn't have to run the software. You should be able to use the router's firmware to get it properly set up.

This is why I have an off-brand router. It works perfectly. (Hawking)

yup. all you should have to do is click on the router and enter your password. i'm too cheap/lazy to return the thing.
