Anyone know anywhere in the Maryville area that does good window tinting? If not Maryville, then Knoxville.

There was a place on broadway called sunshade im not sure if they are still around.

Make sure you go to a good place for it... Window tinting is something worth paying for, otherwise it starts to bubble and turn purple.

Is it for your TC there?

Yeah, with window tinting, find the best absolute best place for it within 50 miles of your house and go there.

Unless you want purple blistery windows.

Ive been wanting to tint my windows on the jeep aswell...what exactly do they do to it? As you can see, dont know much about it...

Yeah, it's for the TC. Nowhere around here does spray on, so imma go on a friend's recommendation. Now, I just have to decide on illegal tint or legal.

Do .1% below the legal limit. Cops always target imports, and if illegal tint is one more thing they can pin on you, they will.

I got 20% my car at a place on Chapman...it turned out good...but not great.

I've heard that SolarPros (maybe that's it??) On Alcoa Hwy ~5 min from campus does a good job, but I don't know if they'll do illegal tint.

That's really high.

Just keep it legal, buddy. If you get that illegal tint, I guarantee you'll regret it. It's probably gonna be done at a shoddy place, and it's going to cost you that much more after the fines you'll get.

It isn't 35. My friend is gettin 20 done and that is illegal. I'll get it just legal. I'm thinking about going to Pro Sound in Knox, I think that is the name.

Exactly. The % is how much light it allows in. The lower the % the darker the tint, at least as I understand it.

I almost wish I had gone with 15%...20 is dark, but not that dark. I've had it on for over a year with not even the slightest problem.

milo, what would you say one would expect to pay for a good tinting job on a mid-size sedan?

i'd say closer to the $175-215 range if you can find one of the guys who will come to your car and works out of his truck.

and yes, i had a guy recomended to me like this. i'm not ready to tint yet because i'm waiting to see how my friends cars turn out in six monthes to year. so far his cars (BMW and Ram 1500) look great. he got the guy through a recomendation as well.

if i can remember, the guys # is somewhere on my desk at work. i'll see if i can find it.

I have no idea on the price, I've never had my windows tinted. I know that some cars fetch higher prices than others. For instance, the hatch glass on a Camaro or something. Can cost a lot extra, and should only be left in the hands of a true proffessional.

Good point on the hatch glass, plus some window tint places like to piece in the rear window if it is beveled. good luck

I got my jeep cherokee done here in chattanooga with a lifetime warranty at alta mere and it only cost me $160. Looks dang good too.
