OK thanks Bill, I'll check that out. Yeah, I'm not trying to trick my car out either, I just want a little tint to help battle heat. The less I can run the AC, the better in my book.OWB, I've had the windows in my last two cars done at Custom Exterior in JC. They are under new management and now called Sound Decision. The are located right at the HWY 36 and 11E split going towards Boones Creek/Kingsport. If you know where House of Ribs or El Chico is, it's right in between them. I would definitely recommend them. I had my civic for 5 years and never had any problems with the tinting and my Corolla is going on 4 years and I've yet to have any problems with it.
I might have the wrong place in mind, but I'm thinking a buddy had a cd player and his windows tinted in the place broyles is speaking of. While the cd player worked great, the tint job started messing up after about two years. Again, I just know this place was on the volunteer parkway, not too far from the Stone Castle (maybe 5 minutes?) and on the right if you were coming from JC.
Edit: This place was quite a bit away from the Speedway, so i don't think it's the same place.
Edit #2: I would also like to add that I drove a '96 Civic and now an '04 Corolla because I like to make trips all over the place and I really like a car that averages 36 mpg during normal driving conditions and even more on the hwy. I have never put fancy rims or obnoxiously loud exhausts or any of that too fast too furious stuff on my car. don't mistake me for one those guys please!
Yeah, CE screwed a tint job on my friend's car a while back. I'm definitely avoiding them.Prosound in Elizabethton is good too, but I'm with Bill....the place at El Chico is a good place, or atleast it was when it was Custom Exterior.
Custom Enclosures in Bristol near the McDonalds on the parkway sucks, but the place Broyles is talking about is also does detailing I think, and they are good too.
It's like a night and day difference between the two. I've never had a problem in TN and I drive in the state quite a bit.VA State Troopers are incredibly more obnoxious than those in TN. i forgot about that.

It was, they can't hassle you about it if you don't have Virginia plates.I heard so many stories about the VA troopers that I was scared to death I would get pulled over while living in VA Beach for my windows being TN legal but not VA. I always kept my TN license tag ( A UT one of course) and I've always wondered it that's what helped keep me out of trouble.
