Willie Gault is Still Racing Around...At Age 48...

Compare that to Gault, who can still crack 10 seconds in the 100-yard dash, and last year ran the 40 in a blistering 4.27. Age-grading track and field tables suggest that his recent 10.80 for the 100 meters at 48 is the equivalent of 9.76 by a man in his 20s – only a step behind Usain Bolt, and fast enough for a silver medal at the Beijing Olympics.

With all the people who obsess about 40 times, this struck me as remarkable... Somebody already posted about Gault's 100M time, but the thread didn't mention the 40 yard reference. Interesting stuff IMO... GO VOLS!!!!

Does anybody know who runs the fastest 40 on the team and what the time is? I would be interested to know how it compares...

one of my favorite episodes of "in the heat of the night " had willie starring in it from the early 90's. he was a very good actor also. what an a great vol !!!! :salute: :salute:

It's called HRT, hormone replacement therapy. Old guys can juice with testosterone & get away with it.

Forget the year> Willie ran a kick-off back for TD LSU coach said " I knew we were not going to get him when he came by there was a swooshing sound." Classic.

I swear he blurs and elongates across the time space continuum when he runs. Freakish. Just freakish.

He says in the article he is isn't on anything, sure he could be lying, but by 48 your usually in pretty bad health if your juicing, right?
