UT has some good talent on the field, but I don't think they will beat UGA or UF, or Auburn, Notre Dame, or Bama. That's 5 losses. I may be wrong, of course, but as of now that's what I think. Too many off-the-field problems and a freshman qb. Not to mention Fulmer's issues. Hat's off to UT if they pull out a good season.

I could be wrong, but I think UGA was overrated last year and I think they are overrated again this year. I believe Trooper will add a boost to the running game and UT is just too talented for both UF and UGA.

Your right we have off the field problems, and a freshman QB. But we still have more talent in our secondary then on most of the teams you discribed. We are going to suprise alot of people this year. So get ready to take your hat off. ;)

Tide, hurry up and turn off the car! I think the exhaust fumes are getting to you!!

You seem like a classy Tide fan, so I'll cut you some slack . . . but your prediction that Notre Friggin' Dame is going to come to Knoxville and win makes me question your sanity.

I think that UT will beat Florida, but not so much with GA. Anyone can beat Bama, look at their coach. Our off the field problems are caused by supposed friends of the Bama program, which has only lit a fire under Fulmer's backside. And those freshmen are not the major concern of this team.

I don't think we will go undefeated or anything but we do find a way to win those games we are not supposed to. I think we end the UGA streak but UF may take us since we play them so early.

UGA finished higher in the AP poll then they started and with a brand new OL so give them some credit.

Two straight final season Top 10 years

I remember the beginning of a season that we weren't suppossed to do much after losing "the man" Peyton Manning, just a rebuilding season and low and behold a National Championship. That team had a lot of talent but most of all good team leaders and a fire in their bellies to win and they made it happen. Then we went through the Clausen era(don't get me wrong great player) with no visable leadership. He also had the same problem that Peyton had (and why neither one won a championship) they were both expected to do it all to win the game. The championship team ran the ball down peoples throats when they needed to or passed it over their heads and the defense was there to pull out wins when we needed it. UT has had too many "Choosen Ones" the last several years (case in point Kelly Washington; thank God he went pro early). All the so called experts had us as under dogs for every game the year we wnet 13 and 0. Bookies beware!!!! :machinegun:

I miss the defenses that use to get fired up on the field ,it seems we're lacking alot of leadership on the d-side of the field.

We have been lacking a lot of leadership period. We have not had a good leader since Henderson on the d-line (or a great one like Wilson). And Clausen was not that much of a leader. Don't get me wrong he was a great player, but did not do things to get his team fired up to play. He relied on leadership by example, which is not necessarily a good thing for a QB.

GA is the hyped team of this year, just as Auburn was last year.

Except they have actually won the SEC.....you cant compare the two

I thought LSU won the SEC last year?

They did, but he was talking in recent years. Auburn has not won the SEC since sharing the title in 1989 with Tennessee and Alabama.

Honestly, I'm not sure that UGA is that overrated. Auburn had quite a few holes last year that they did not fill well at times. They were not consistent. They played like crap against Georgia Tech and USC, and then played like gangbusters against Tennessee and Arkansas, then fell asleep at the end of the year.

I don't believe UGA is that inconsistent, and that is one of the reasons I voted no on this poll. I'm afraid it's gonna be another year or 2 before we can back on the winning track against the Dawgs.

GA will be a strong team this year. They have senior leaders in the right places, and the o-line has had a year of maturity under its belt.
