Will UT replace UAB with another cupcake

I think Tennessee would respect ETSU being a first year program and play clean.

Playing clean had nothing to do with getting hurt by larger and more physically gifted athletes. There is zero reason to play a first year team

Let's play ODU

I'm voting for cupcakes with lots of frosting on top, heck every other school is doing it.

Very difficult to find an opponent, this late in the process. Schedules are made several years out.

I expect a game against a Tennessee school. AP, MTSU, Martin.

Why can't we just schedule one of UAB's other 11 opponents since they will obviously all be in the same boat as us?

Because all of those teams already had a game scheduled for that particular weekend. I'm guessing we were the only team on UAB's schedule set to play them in week one. I could be wrong, though.

Right, but not on the first weekend when we were scheduled to play them.

I wish they would play MTSU. It's a better program than UAB anyway and the money would stay in state and LP would probably be sold out. However, looking at MTSU thier out of conference is set for next year and I dont really see them getting out of any of their games.

Schedules are already set. Might have to try and grab a game with someone on the UAB schedule. Either that or we play 11. Going to be very difficult to find a decent opponent at this late date.

The most important question is this: with no football team in Birmingham does this mean they will finally tear down Legion Field?

If so, where do I volunteer/pick up my sledgehammer.
