Fulmer has resigned. Now that this has happened do we see the play that we should have seen from the beginning of the season? I am just saying that it seems this team needed a fire lit under their a**. Or are they just that bad!

The O-line might play a little meaner which will help the running game. I think we may have been practicing so poorly for so long at this point that the mental mistakes are not correctable.

I don't know, but I did hear some members of the team talking earlier this week about how they were going to play with a lot of emotion and passion the rest of the season for CPF. I say, where the heck was that emotion and passion earlier in the year? If they had been playing like that all along, maybe there beloved coach would still have a job.

Just that bad.

Best I can tell there were no significant staffing changes or player changes since the announcement. So I don't expect anything different on the field the rest of the year.

Don't get your hopes up. We are 'just that bad'. However, for Phil's sake, I hope the team can get their act together and pull out wins for the final three games.

I don't see it happening...I know the players have came out and said they will...but I have seen nothing to make me believe they have the ability or the character to do so

They're just that bad. We'll drop at least one of the last three games.

I think that we will pull out a win over Wyoming tomorrow, but I'm not sure about the other two; Kentucky and Vanderbilt. All in all, I think we will go 5-7.

They are bad. What makes you think they can tackle, block, throw completions, etc. just because CPF resigned. They are still the same bad team. However, they will probably look much improved considering the competition.

I just read an AP story in “Stars and Stripes” that was an attempt at a touching story about how motivated the players were following this week’s announcement. While I won’t mention names as after all they are STUDENT-athletes , it did make me wonder where all this motivation and solidarity were all season on the field and during the off-season during numerous incidents of misbehavior and poor choices. Hopefully, this will wake some of these players up to the harsh reality that there is a consequence to all of their actions or inactions. As much as I appreciate CPF’s efforts over the years, I think what has been missing recently , more importantly than wins and championships, is the shaping of young men to be their best despite what they do on Sundays the future.

I guess not.... I was at the game yesterday. They gave up on the University of Tennessee yesterday. No team at the university has done that before. That said, they should put the whole bunch on a bus and start from scratch next year.. except for Eric Berry of coarse. I am looking foward to a new life to the football program next year. GO VOLS!

I think CPF knew going in the SC game was to be his last chance and did lite a fire under their tail. And you can see the best that could be mustarded wasn`t much. DEF. has a pulse, OFF. is brain dead.

CPF and the team quit last night. Disappointing.

That is the concern I have for next year and beyond....if there are a bad attitudes that carry over to the new coach, I can only hope he works that out on the practice field or dumps some of these guys that are dragging the moral down.

Never mind. We can't even beat Wyoming. We'll go 3-9, not finishing strong at all.:birgits_giggle:
