Im sick of hearing about kiffin and espn love fest with them!

While I loath him for how he left us, not necessarily doing it, and how it affected recruiting perception of stability, we would get rolled by them right now. I could care less about playing USC right now, and am more concerned about being worth a damn in the SEC. That's just me though.

I'd much rather see this shirt produced rather than a game against USC

Will there Be a Tennessee vs USC match up in the future?
Love to see it.

No.

They would have to meet in the National Championship or a BCS bowl.

And to complicate it even more, for the at-large USC would not only have to be at-large good, one of the other PAC-12 teams would have to win the conference yet not be good enough to make the NC game (so that USC wouldn't end up in the Rose Bowl). (And that might even necessitate that USC be good but not play in their conference championship period...and I don't know who else in that division would be good enough to pull that off anytime soon)

(UT might have also had to have gotten an at large bid in this case, but it could also possibly play out if they just won the SEC Championship)

However, there are no contract/ bowl tie-ins where the PAC 12 and SEC can play each other.

now that hammy is gone anything is possible

He was skeered.

Meh. I don't know about you guys, but why would I want to give Kiffin and USC - in a year where they couldn't go to a bowl game - essentially a replacement bowl-like game, in a large city's bowl stadium, on national TV, and with essentially a free recruiting trip in a football talent rich state (so that he and company could try to establish stronger ties in it)?

There is a verbal agreement for Tennessee to play USC in 2021 and 2022.

Tennessee and USC Verbally Agree to 2021-2022 Football Series

I might be wrong, but is that even still on?
FBSschedules has been the only place I've seen report it (edit: and one ESPN blog article abou talks)...and it's from 2009.

(I only bring up the date because since then we've cancelled a series with UNC and Ohio State - another of those far ahead agreements - had cancelled a series with us)

Any so-called UT fan who claims we would get beat by USC, like they know it for a fact, without even seeing either team play a single down this season is a sorry excuse for a fan. Call me a overly-optimistic homer all you want, but that ish is flat out pathetic.

They would manhandle us.
