I figure that since when the Vols lose a single game a lot of posters say we need to fire CRB, bench the starters and all around act like the Vols are terrible, that I would ask if since the Vols won does that mean that CRB deserves a raise and extension, the starters are going to the NBA draft, and are the Vols now going to win the NCAA tournament?

;)

It would be nice, but I am really just being a smart ass...LOL

Good point.
A well-rounded fanbase should balance the depressive with at least an equal amount of manic.

Big tournaments are all about matchups. Although there have been years where certain teams were so much better it didn't matter. This year there are a lot of teams that could win it all if everything lines up right. We beat Arizona their only loss, so we can bring on certain nights. So if you look at a bracket and you say the 1st game we match up well with them but the 2nd game Duke/Mercer winner we just don't match up with Duke, then Mercer upsets Duke. Sometimes it's the luck of the draw and this year anything could happen with the Covid factor. So I'm saying there's a chance.:D

Well lets see,
Most fans I see on here are not demanding CRB be fired. They are asking he get up and coach these players.
That happened last night, Check.
They have ask the team show some consistency and intestinal fortitude, that happened last night. Check.
They have ask that some players see more bench time and others see more playing time, that happened last night. Check.
No CRB does not deserve a raise or extension. He's well compensated. Check
Will the Vols win the national championship, hopefully one day. However since CRB has seen one final four in his 35 years as head coach the odds are heavily stacked against this team winning a championship.
Hell I would just love to live long enough to see a Tennessee mens final four. Check

I don't think we have to worry so much about matchup going forward.
The emergence of the big "U" as a leader and fast becoming a "force" in the middle the last two games is changing the mindset of the whole team. Before last night's game he started to "wake-up" to his ability to lead the team and take over underneath. Not saying this will put us "to another level", but it will help us become a much bigger threat to go a long way in April. NOW if we just start shooting with consistency........

Tennessee is wearing orange in the video, so that was the road game at LSU. I watched it also, but I didn't see what Wade did. Maybe the video isn't long enough to capture the moment.

Great post. It’s all about matchups and who gets hot. Unfortunately we seem to run into the Cinderella team or a team who gets hot from three.

Maybe we will get a favorable match up and get hot in March. I think it was one of Bruce’s teams (and Barnes) where the stars aligned where #1 seed fell so we had the path to final four but lost to an inferior team, @ least on paper. But the game isn’t played on paper.

I don't know either and I watched the game.

Wade screamed at the refs the entire game. He walked out of the coach’s box onto the floor numerous times. His face turned shades of red and maybe a bit of LSU purple. He questioned every call that went against LSU. Wade went belligerent b/t 2-4min mark after Uros blocked a shot that should’ve been called goal tending. That was a big play as the Vols went on a run and “ballgame.”

The sad thing is his players took cheap shots. There was one play where the LSU player made a football “blocking move” and into one of players “manhood” area. It was called a flagrant so… but players follow the lead of their coach and Wade is bad. The players had to be separated 30 min before the game. But Uros mouthed off, too, and shoved a player during the game.

We don’t see it on TV but Barnes rides the refs, too. I didn’t hear him use profanity during the Vandy game (we were sitting close to the floor) but he does go after them, esp Valentine. However, Wade doesn’t show any respect and says every four letter word invented. He reminds me of a Bobby Knight.

Barnes rode them a bit more yesterday and he had to. Wade was on officials every single time one passed by him during live play or a dead ball. I’ve never seen a college basketball game where another coach totally dominated the officials like he did.

Efton Reid and Gaines were both dirty the whole game. So many instances where if you weren’t there you couldn’t see it. I don’t think I’ve seen anything like that, either. They definitely followed the lead of their coach. Much respect to Days and Murray, as those two seemed to be upstanding guys amidst a cesspool of filth.

I missed the game today sadly what did will wade do?

He ranted, raved,bit04ed every call ad-nauseam, and actually laid down in front of the scorer's table protesting a call. Getting in refs ear on every break in play, was boundless. I think TV loves it they camera-ed him a lot so it must be a rating boom> Reminded me of the way they follow Kiffin, both have childish demeanors.
