serious question. It's not the 1950's when there were only a couple powerhouses where all the best players went to (alabama, tennessee, michigan, notre dame, etc).

Tennessee has to recruit out of state players because there is absolutely no talent within the state. Is it just too hard to recruit an entire competitive/elite team all from outside the state? Will Tenn never be elite again until the state starts growing better athletes? Does the whole system (pop warner through high school) need to be fixed? What's the solution and why is the in-state talent so piss poor?

Something is going to have to give at some point. You have to get great recruits in order to win, but you have to start winning before you can attract great recruits. It's the chicken/egg thing.

Just start snagging all those Alcoa boys. Anyone catch Randall Cobb with the Packers on opening night? Alcoa graduate.... went to Kentucky :/

Yes. Anyone who says no is wrong.

Tennesee has top recruiting classes year in and year out despite the in state talent disadvantage. Even at our lowest point in an eternity, we're still getting top 10-15 classes. That should say something.

Yes, we will be elite again sometime in the future. Our time is coming. One game and some terrible luck (Hunter) does not a season make.

Yeah we'll get better. Were already better from where we were from last yr. We already recruit out of GA. A lot of talent in GA. We just have to start winning more to attract that talent that we need.

Still kind of suffering the effects of 3 coaches in 3 years and letting a hasbeen hang around too long. I've been thinking 2013 all along. Yes it was that '''''' up.

so how do we go about growing better recruits inside the state of Tennessee instead of having to find them in other states where we're at a disadvantage to the home schools.

I'm going to hold my tongue, but you have no ****ing idea what you are talking about

Was Dooley on the field at anytime?

Did Dooley inherite a talented team?

How many senior leaders are on the team?

Whats the average year of the OL/DL?

How many Freshman are playing on the team?

How many of them have played on the road in the swamp?

How many games has Dooley coached in the swamp?

How many other coaches, other than Saban, Meyer, and Chizik, have been successful in their 2nd year?
