Will Tennessee be the first school...

This is what I was hoping to hear. Granted, many Tennessee fans are upset about the way the football program is going, but the fact shouldn't be overlooked that Fulmer has done a lot for the school. He pretty much has lived his whole life at Tennessee. (Granted, he's been rewarded with a very comfortable salary package in the process.) But still, even if fans want a coaching transition, hopefully it will be done with respect for all Fulmer has done for the school and fans won't disrespect him in the process.

That is up to Fulmer, not the fans. Fulmer can go out with grace and resign, or he can go out kicking and screaming. He goes out with grace, people will forgive him these years of mediocre to horrible football, and he takes his place in the UT pantheon. He goes out kicking and screaming, he will be remember as someone who drove this program into the ground. It is really all up to him.

you think aTm would interview Phillip, TXvol?

no, he has absolutely no affiliation with the University what-so-ever. That is not aTm's MO. Aggies stay connected for better or worse. Tubberville gets a pass because he's a big name, available (or going to be) and he spent a year here already. Fulmer is just, (available possibly). No ties = no job.

Ironically, about the closest thing I can think of would be when we forced Johnny Majors out. He didn't have a national title at Tennessee, but he did have back to back SEC titles.

I always liked Majors. A little comeuppance, you think?

I think Fulmer will retire. I dont think he will ever be fired. I think it is the way it should be truthfully. He has done alot and deserves the dignity. I just hope he does it soon.
