I'd be confident Louisville did. Kevin Willard really liked him, as did Reggie Theus before he left for NMSU. Arizona, not sure.
Jordan got toasted against Ohio State. It was frustrating to watch.I've never seen anything that either actually offered him. Regardless, Prince was better coming out of high school.
Speaking of Johnson, it seems like a lifetime ago since he was going to be our point guard. It takes some serious flaws in your game to get beat out by Jordan Howell. That's gotta hurt. No offense to Jordan, but obviously he's not the most athletic guy in town (understatement).
That's often the case with big high school point guards. When they are no longer being guarded by 5'6" kids who bag groceries in their spare time and start being matched up with legit D-1 athletes, all of their flaws get exposed. Thinking about it, I'm not sure if Louisville offered Johnson or not, because they got commitments from Jerry Smith and Edgar Sosa fairly earlier in the process.I've never seen anything that either actually offered him. I think Marcus Johnson's biggest problem was that he couldn't even guard a 5'6" kid who bags groceries in his spare time. That's often the case with big high school point guards. He made a big 3 at the buzzer to beat Marquette. He was probably L'ville's best outside shooter. He and Sosa are going to be a really good backcourt for the Cards.I think Marcus Johnson's biggest problem was that he couldn't even guard a 5'6" kid who bags groceries in his spare time.
Has Jerry Smith done anything at Louisville? I remember Pearl trying to recruit him but haven't really followed him since he's been at Louisville.
