Richt already announced there will be no staff changes. UGA fans are furious and want their DC martinez fired immediately.

i've been told by some UGA alumn that they've heard Richt isn't making any changes. And that he said something to the effect of "pre season injuries limited the practice of our defensive ends..." and "they didn't participate in tackling drills in pre season camp"...

The whole staff should be fired then.

everyone i've talked to in this matter says that Richt and Martinez are too close of friends for Richt to do anything. i keep telling them that loyalty leads to mediocrity.

If they didn't have tackling drills, Richt, the waterboys, Martinez and everyone associated with coaching the football team should be terminated.

.....over half of sports radio in ATL is spent listening to UGA fans complain about Martinez.

i guess my post wasn't clear enough... the defensive ends didn't participate in tackling drills due to injuries... my main concern with that statement would be; how does a tackling drill that was done over 90 days ago affect defensive performance in late november?

Your post was clear.

My point: They should be done every single frickin day when the defensive front looks like it does.

Loyalty and being a "nice guy" leads to mediocrity, it's a very bad combination for a coach in Today's SEC
