Will Pruitt have the toughest opener as a Tennessee coach ever?

My gut only, really has nothing to do with anything else, so don't go all VFNB or BOT with "please explain to me what in Mary's sweet name gives you any indication we win those games. Can't wait to hear this stupidity"

Win a close game with WV.
Win ETSU
Win UTEP
Lose close to Gators.
Lose Georgia
Lose Auburn
Lose Alabama
Win SC
Win Charlotte
Win Kentucky
Win Missouri
Win Vanderbilt

Obviously anything can happen and we could lose 8.

I like it.

Just flip the Florida and SCar games. Florida’s getting beat in Knoxville. And going to Columbia after getting pounded by Alabama only ends up one way: we gone lose. Haha.

I think 8 wins is obtainable too.

Has any other Tennessee football coach had a tougher debut than Jeremy Pruitt?
It seems that way. Just game plan👍💥❤️
Get the players ready.

I just don't get the hype with W.Va outside of Grier. Their defense was worse than ours, they aren't a great running team and struggled offensively against the better teams with the more physical Defense's. I would bet anything W.Va Doesn't win more than 8 games this year, including a bowl.

It’s going to take some time to cycle out the softbatch players on the roster. We can win some games by just being tougher. Year 1 will help the process begin but it won’t be fun.

I disagree. I watched some of our games from last year and it was definitely more coaching than it was player personnel. This season will be fun but of course there will be growing pains. Most of the soft players would have transferred out by now because of the new routine's they have been put through.

I’ve rewatched some of those painnnffullllll games too. One thing that definitely stood out to me, our linemen lacked even basic footwork and hand techniques. Didn’t lock their arms out. Crossed their legs, hips weren’t even close to square. No wonder we couldn’t block. I would say our O line spent more time chasing rushers backwards than they did blocking them. Add too that insane play calls...I think just basic azz position coaching will help these guys a lot.

Heck yeah. Thats was a great game.

And it was at their packed Dome with Donovan Mcnabb at QB and Tee was taking baby steps in this opener on to a magical year. We won them all that year (1998) but 5 or 6 were as tough as it gets starting with Syracuse.

The was people are going on about West Virginia you'd think we're opening up against the 2001 Canes. They may very well win the game, but come on. They're not some great team.
