Will our crowd be a factor Saturday?

What will Vol crowd be like for the noon start?

We all know that noon starts hurts a home crowd.
Late arriving
Less lubricated
Less loud
Will that be the case or will the chance to win the East have our fans fired up?

The crowd will feed off the energy of the team, who will then feed off the energy of the crowd.

One big play early (on offense, defense, or ST) to get the fans engaged will do the trick. Doesn't even have to be a scoring play. A UK 3 and out or a run stuff on third and short should do the trick.

Or if Dobbs and Malone wanna keep working, that's fine too.

I think the crowd will be fine. It won't be FL, Bama, UGA, or Oklahoma-esque but it will do the job.

I would hope we come strong and do our part.

Here's to hoping the knuckleheads that booed last week sell their tickets to more upbeat Vol fans!!!!

If we have the same guy as last week counting the fans then a full stadium would be around 140,000. No way there were over 98,000 there against TN Tech.

I was there and estimated 90K in attendance, but never heard the final number. I was pleased with the turnout after the disappointment which shall not be named relating to the region below North Carolina.

Because "Kentucky is not a rival"?

I've been to many a November game in Neyland and it's pretty much a fact that Vols fans take the month of November off. It isn't even close to how the crowds are the first two months when we play stiff competition (I mean that we play teams that should be tough to beat as opposed to teams we should never ever lose to). Throw on top of this that we already have 3 losses and have fallen short of most fans expectations and I bet there will be a lot of tickets on sale in the secondary market. Many people I know around Nashville choose these games to take their kids to because they know the crowd will be less raucous.

This Ky. game has lots of meaning for both teams. It would be a shame if fans don't realize that and don't do their job.
