There are 29 reg season games and he is 52 shy of the record. If my math is right that is only 1.79 per game. Maybe he can. I hope so that would be pretty cool. Who holds the record currently?

Pat Bradley from Arkansas I think....dont quote me on that, but I think he holds the record for the SEC he hit three hundred and sixty something...Allan Houston hit three forty something...

Pat Bradley it is.

But if I had to say who I thought was the best long distance shooter in the SEC all-time, it'd be a toss-up between two Bayou Bengals: Pistol Pete and Chris Jackson. Maravich's records would be ridiculous had the 3-pt line been in effect when he played.

Nice reading!

But if Lofton had stayed around the 3pt line these past two years instead of becoming a more complete guard - no doubt I think he may have broken Reddick's record. He was well on pace after his sophomore season.

I'll agree to that to an extent....JJ evolved into a dynamite player his junior and senior campaign...Lofton is a terrific shooter and yes he was WELL on pace to thrash the record....With that said, I say C-LO breaks the SEC record and elicpses the 400 mark but JJ is safe for another year...

Yeah he's safe. But ya know - gotta get me a few Duke rips in today. Especially when it involves White boy Reddick :lolabove:

JJ was a wannabe thug....But, I had many good nights watching him. Another tidbit is; without Sheldon Williams, Lee Melchioni, and Sean Dockery JJ wouldnt have touched that record...JJ's frosh and soph years he was fat and lazy...
