I'm betting yes. Instead of retiring with his however many millions of $$$$$ and enjoying his grandkids, I'll bet he insists on staying on in the AD in some capacity......

He doesnt have the luxury of making demands.

I would agree with you, but he's still here.....he won't go away. The last thing we need is for him to stay around, but the fact that an announcement hasn't been made make me wonder what's going on?

He's not in a position of making demands about his future.............at least he shouldn't be in such a position.
Not you, it was directed at the thread starter...

You must have posted a few seconds before I did.

No way. I don't think he could handle it. He'd probably get way to involved like Jerry Jones and alienate whoever the new coach would be.

I hope not. The way he has handled the program and politics as of late, he would be a problem.

The first thing he would do is fire Pearl... Pearl planted the seeds of change in the fans mind. If a coaching change can turn around a dead basketball program, how were fans not gonna think the same about football?

Pearl put Fulmer on the hot seat in 2005. Men's BB was winning and Fulmer was going 5-6..

I think he'll definitely be somewhere in the AD's office.

You can see Fulmer is a control freak. Can you see him attending the new coach's practices and giving him tips. The new coach wouldn't need or deserve that.

There's no way he'd be anywhere near the day to day stuff . . . more of a fundraiser than anything else.

Just an all around bad post.

I have a feeling that if Fulmer told Pearl to leave, Pearl would simply laugh.

Maybe in a few years. He needs time away. It would be counter productive at this point.

I don't think there's any limit to his pride/arrogance/stubbornness.....I hope he leaves completely, but I wouldn't be surprised if he forces their hand and gets to stay on in the AD.......

I thought at first it would be good to have him oversee recruiting... try to hold on to some, but it might not sit well with a new coach trying to dump the "Tennesee Way"

I believe Fulmer and J. Majors should make amends and open up, co-own a Restaraunt /Bar on the strip.
