Will EB see any offense time or return any kicks?

i think everyone is putting wayyyy too much trust in the new freshmen players... i really dont expect any of them to be HUGE playmakers their first year in colllege... except for maybe BB
I think your quote comes from what we have seen at Tennessee in the past in relation to getting Freshmen on the field but look at other teams like Southern Cal, Ohio St. to name a few they seem to get freshmen on the field in a hurry. I think if my memory is correct that is something Coach kiffin has stated that Freshmen will see the field just how much depends on them.

EB has just as much of a chance of getting hurt playing D as he does playin O or ST. Everyone acts like hes going to get lit up if he returns kicks just cuz hes a defensive player? I really dont think putting him as our punt returner or a kick returner would cause him much more chance of becoming injured. Its football... getting hit and hitting people is what the game is all about! just because he will start getting hit doesnt mean he is automatically going to get hurt.

I dont mean to sound like an ass, and I am not trying to call you out or anything.....but I am going to guess you have never played football, right? The chances of getting rolled up on, tackled/grabbed wrong, or generally injured is MUCH greater returning kicks or catching passes than playing safety. It isnt even close. In the end, I expect that EB has enough to learn with the new D, without muddling it even more by asking to pick up learning offensive plays and catching kicks as well. I bet Nuke, Oku and Teague more than have those areas covered.

I agree , the collisions are so much harder ...and for the ball carrier the collision can come from anywhere once he is in the teeth of the coverage ..front , back , high , low , left , right , or any combination .

That is why the NFL has tossed around the idea of banning the 'wedge' It is just too dangerous . EB means way to much for the operation of the Tampa 2
