I think he should not. If spring is like real football, I think he has a chance to have his demons exorcised. He may surprise us if he can ever play in the game like he does in practice.

I thought I heard something a while back that they were going to do away with the green jerseys.

all 3 qbs should be taking hits this spring. maybe in the summer not so much. out of the three, it would be an effective way to weed out the 2 bums who dont get the job. id like to see them going against the first team defense and playing at full speed. whoever emerges will have the confidence of the team and will get us to 7+ wins. i think crompton has the most weapons of the three and really needs to get his head right

I agree. I think all 3 QB's should take off the green this spring and go full speed. Kiffin is going to have to name a starter as soon as possible for them to get an early start learning the offense. This would be a good way to get the true picture. If anyone has told him anything about last year, he would know Crompton obviously played better in practice with the green jersey than he did on Saturdays.

Yes, I think he would look good in one of the green usher shirts telling people where they sit and where the bathrooms are.

I really would like to see Coleman steps up, he seems like a bright young man and I hope he has the tools to be a good SEC QB. I hope we get to find out this year.

Out of the 3 stooges, I think its going to end up being crompton. I think BJ is still to young and stevens has a shot, but I think its probably going to be crompton. If they are doing away with the green jerseys at practice, maybe crompton will get used to being under pressure and he will be better prepared for a game. Crompton has all the potential in the world, his head is just not in it. He's got to fight his own inner demons, before he fights the florida demons.

i for one am a cromptonite. I think what happened to him last year was a complete breakdown of confidence as a result of playing in a system he's not comfortable with. having your o linemen playing "zone" blocking couldnt have helped either. i think he gives us success, and i think recruiting-wise its helpful as well. if crompton plays well kiff says to the recruit "hey look our good starting qb is leaving so you'll just be competing with 2 juniors" whereas if coleman gets the start and does well, the recruit will be thinking that he wont get much pt against a young qb who is doing really well.

i think Kiff is going to play whoever runs the offense the best. i do agree about the offense last year, not setting Crompton up for success, BUT, the guy made some of the ugliest throws that i have ever seen on a televised football game. i hope Reaves can help him.

I hope Reaves can get him on the right track too. I guess it depends on what kind of attitude he brings to Spring practice.

I don't think Kiffin is a green jersey kind of coach. Besides, it's not like we're talking about a franchise QB here.

They should put a green dress on the women of our O line. Hope that Mark Smith can change that though.

I remember last year the coaches continually praised Crompton's performance in the practices. Does anyone know anything about this?

Think about it, guys- Stephens is Kiffin's kind of guy. He outperformed both Crompton and Coleman. He was dissed for blowing up on his receiver/coach after a jacked-up play for a jacked-up offense, in a jacked-up system, etc.). I think it shows he has fire.
