I honestly try to root for Bama, but it ends up as indifference, followed by seething hatred and guilt when they win. It's just Bama that does that to me. Nobody else.

Yes, absolutely. Whole-heartedly. Maybe it's the lack of anything else to obsess over other than Football, maybe it's all the NC and bowl wins they try to lay claim to that gives them some sort of arrogance, but I spend a lot of time posting on an SEC board and have been interacting with Bama fans for a long time and they are most certainly a different breed. They are basically Notre Dame fans with new-found confidence. Not all of them are like this and I have many friends that are Bama fans and are not. But more are this way than any other SEC team.

3. I would be pure ashamed to root for Florida, Bama, UGA, or any other SEC school besides Tennessee. Hell I even hate the out of conference teams.

Sounds like to me that there are some people here that need to go get behind Meyer and Tebow and get down on their knees and pucker up.

Well , I only live for GOD's TEAM GO BIG ORANGE!!! But you have to admit with all of College Footballs history; That is if you know any? Theres probably only a few people on this board that actually saw Jim Thorpe play in real life, right BigPapa,Just kidding, But Tim Tebow is the closest you will ever get to see that is Jim Thorpe esque in our life time.He's a truly special player that I know I am so glad I can share the experince watching him with my son as he learns about what truly makes college football so great and I would not be a true fan ,just like most on VOLNATION. If we did not acknowledge Tim's greatness as player and human being. So in closing you may want to take a Sabatical on College Football History and come back with an open mind because we have 3 months until we can even become releavent again in the SEC as far as smack talking so,LET ME GIVE YOU A TIP -
GO TO BARNES AND NOBLE and BUY Some books to read about the history of College football and what it means not only to the Midwest and to Harvard, Yale,Notre Dame, Cornell ,The Old SouthWest Confrence and THE OLD SOUTHERN CONFERENCE but also what impact it has on ALL OF VOLNATION! And the rest of the USA!
