I know CDD said that he liked the wildcat, but did not want to install it this year as it would have added more confusion to the team's already apparent problems.

Do you think we will see the wildcat next year, if so who will be taking the snap?

Good observation.

If we have a good QB I see no reason to mess with his rythm and run a gimmick play, that sooner or later coaches will pick up on.

If we had to use a guy I guess I'd pick Neal or Oku

I would love to see Darick as the motion guy, and Poole taking the snap.

Better question might be, "Will we see the wildcat in the bowl game?"

On a side note, I do love the fact that I get to ask a question about our bowl game...

That would be awesome......I could see it now, lined up at the 20- Rogers in motion- snap goes to Poole- 80 yds. for the TD..... :loco:

Da'Rick Rogers could easily become UT's Randall Cobb if the coaches build some special offense around him.

If Bray keeps playing the way he has I don't see a reason to use it. That being said, I would run it with Da'Rick or Oku.

coaches can speak of something like that so rivals can prepare for it. might even use it once or twice but doens't mean they like it or will use it a lot. the OC doesn't care for it but I'm sure he will implement if the HC wants to use it in the future.

can't believe everything coaches say to the media IMO

Pretty sure he used it at La. Tech though.

oh he probably did and he may really like it as an offensive weapon. I'm not trying to say he doesn't. Just saying it might be a diversion rather than a big part of his arsenal.

if he is convinced he has the personal to be successful with it, then it will get some play. How much? Depends on success. For this year, they didn't feel with all the inexperience they needed another complication.

Players had enough issues getting basic offensive plays executed correctly.

The wildcat works only if you have blocking because the other team knows you are going to run it. Or, if you have someone in the backfield who is a legitimate passing threat. We have no where near the run blocking needed to run it. None of the guys mentioned are a passing threat. DD was correct in shelving it this year.

Not saying he would duplicate hs stats. Just saying he has the tools: vision, speed, size, sees the hole, hits the hole. Has a lot more to deliver and will at some point
