Stanford Wants To Talk With Peterson

There is interest on Stanford's end, but is there interest on Chris Petersen's end? According to sources, yes, Petersen does have an interest in discussing Stanford's opening with them. Keep an eye on this one.

Would Justin Wilcox be the favorite to be named the new head coach at Boise State and him bring Peter Sirmon with him to be the DC?

There is no way Petersen wouldn't show much interest in any big job opening but would go to Stanford and take their job.

I think Peterson's has to stay at boise st because there's a hospital there that treats one of his family members or something. Least that what I was hearing why he wasn't leaving boise st.

Not that this means much, but I remember everyone saying Kiffin was all VOL then all of the sudden................ These guys talk, all of them know each other, its a fraternity. I bet my house everyone in the coaching ranks knew Harbaugh would go to SF, then the Cardinal would call Boise, then Boise would contact UT.... etc etc.

The first piece that has to move, is for Petersen to accept the Cardinal job. If he does, then a Wilcox to Boise State seems possible. Instead of looking at it as a negative, look at it as a positive move. He would be part of the Dooley coaching tree.

This threads have to stop please. What if Dooley becomes coach of the Atlanta Braves baseball team? Having a thread about that is about as relevant as this thread at this time.

Dooley is't leaving to LSU if Les Miles leaves for Michigan. He's bringing TM back to Tennessee as his S&C coach.

he just wants a pay raise for him and his staff. Stanford doesn't pay there coaches very much.

that's an understatement. They had to build on-campus housing for them since their asst coaches couldn't afford to live anywhere near the school

You guys who worry about this need to loosen up. If Petersen does go to Stanford, Wilcox's name will come up in conjunction with the job opening. If it does happen, we will find a solid replacement. No need to worry.
