As for me.... Wii fixing to get modded! The Wii has a badass mod that wllows you to store games on an external HD. To bad the games suck though. Hopefully my little will enjoy it though.

We got the chip about two months ago, best 75 dollars that I have ever spent.

Step by step instructions. I believe there's even better ways now that cut out most of those steps. I saw one on tv the other day that you just fire up Zelda, start the gamesave hack, and it downloads everything you need online to setup the Homebrew Channel, wad manager, etc.

As for the original topic, I think it sounds like a bunch of garbage. Perhaps the wording is misleading. Nintendo loves to make the same product over and over, but this just doesn't make any logical sense.

A BluRay drive immediately splits the market. That is not something Nintendo usually does. I don't see folks re-buying a system they rarely use at this point any way. It wont make any new folks get one with a PS3 close in price and stand alone players cheaper.

1080p gaming? That's an big change in the cpu/gpu. However, this might just be misleading wording and actually mean upscaling to support higher resolutions. Big deal, your tv already does this.

And I don't recall any trade in programs on the 101 different gameboy/advance/ds/dslite/dsi/dsixl/etc. Nintendo is not known to give away money.

Those are some of the reasons I wouldn't put too much stock in it. I'll never say never, though.

i dunno if this is true. Sony was one of the companies that founded Blu-ray Disc Associate (company responsible for making blu-ray stuff) and i dont think they will let nintendo use it(competitor) unless they come up with big money

Kick start HD-DVD? That format died a couple of years ago. Porn picks the next format, and always has, and they picked blu-ray.
