Why does tennessee have one of the largest stadiums in college football????....Why does tennessee have one of the largest, most loyal fanbases???? Why is tickets so hard to get and so expensive???Why is football in Tennessee breed in our souls? .....Are we all waterheads for following a team with one miracle season in the late 90's that resulted in a national championship(Which was only a few plays away from not happening)???..........................Tennessee we as fans are tired of waiting till next year ,year after year, when USC, Texas, and now Florida ...Seem to always be near the top.....Again WHY???????:banghead2::mf_surrender:

Something should be done this offseason. It seems all other teams are getting better except for us...we are slowly becoming one of the lowest teams in the SEC. Im talking down there with Vandy.

i'd say that every team that wins the national championship has a few plays that if they went differently they wouldn't have won it.

Yeah, very few championship teams go the season without a lucky game or two. I can't even remember the last that did.

Nope. VT had a good shot at beating them at the end of the year and screwed up on a 2 point try, I think. BC also almost beat them but threw a pick six inside of Miami's 10 to end the game.

I know VT had something go wrong in the endzone. A dropped TD, a dropped 2 point play. Gave up a TD. The BC game was pure luck though. The ball bounced off of the BC player's hands who was laying on the ground and a big man caught it. Ed Reed then ripped it out of the guy's hands(his own teammate) and took it back just to rub it in.

You may be right. Just remembered they beat most teams handily.
I think they were maybe the best college football team ever... A couple of times that year, they looked sluggish, (and I blame Coker) but when they new they had a tough test, they destroyed them...

Also I guess you could put 2003 USC in there, too. I don't think changing any few plays could have given them another loss.

Brown definitely is a fraud. There are 4-5 coaches that could have won 3-4 NCs with the talent he has had, along with Fulmer's.

nebraska 1995, best team ever. i am a hurricane fan but in my opinion that husker team would beat the 2001 cane team.

Uh, no. Miami's defense would have taken the archaic option, wadded it into a ball, and tossed it in the nearest dumpster.

2001 Miami was the most talented team EVER. You could take a pee-wee football coach, and let him coach Miami to a National Championship that year.
