It's true...And sad...I've said for years they only care about the money they bring in from the games...Wins don't matter to them...Never has...Yet fans keep filling the stands and spending hard earned money for a product that is on level with Vanderbilt now...General Neyland is rolling over in his grave. We've hired a string of bad head coaches and aren't serious about winning. It's that simple.
Thats because 1, they were lowballing on the money and 2 no decent coach wanted to come here and commit career suicide...They never even went after the top coaches...Not Frost, Not Mullen, Not Kelly...they went after mullet boy at Oklahoma st for the 2nd time and for the 2nd time he turned us down...they aren't serious about winning here.We tried remember.
No one wanted to coach here...
We need to face the facts.
We are not a top tier (UGA, UF, Alabama) team anymore
On the offensive line, there is an old saying that says “ jack of all trades; master of none. This may apply to trying to have the Oline training for all positions instead one position. Another observation is in practice tapes, I see the QBs throwing to uncovered receivers with no defenders in sight. Does this create a problem of throwing so many passes short and not throwing with any ‘touch”? So my optimism has changed a bit. I do think we ran the ball pretty well even with a lot of it being after the game was out of sight and their defense was a playing the pass. Gray and Chandler ran hard and payed well. Why are we like this? Getting all hyped up to win and we fall flat once more. Even Vandy will get their licks in. The question is, “Who cannot beat us?”
