Why are we like this? Getting all hyped up to win and we fall flat once more. Even Vandy will get their licks in. The question is, “Who cannot beat us?”

Or get fired and reach a settlement and then go back and fix that Alabama defense as DC

They're been very underwhelming ever since he left.

It's true...And sad...I've said for years they only care about the money they bring in from the games...Wins don't matter to them...Never has...Yet fans keep filling the stands and spending hard earned money for a product that is on level with Vanderbilt now...General Neyland is rolling over in his grave.

Thats because 1, they were lowballing on the money and 2 no decent coach wanted to come here and commit career suicide...They never even went after the top coaches...Not Frost, Not Mullen, Not Kelly...they went after mullet boy at Oklahoma st for the 2nd time and for the 2nd time he turned us down...they aren't serious about winning here.

We need to face the facts.

We are not a top tier (UGA, UF, Alabama) team anymore

we may not ever get back to it again in our lifetimes

we are more closely matched up with Mizzou, UK, Ole Miss and MS St. caliber tram

blame it on execution, QB, players, whatever. It all comes down to coaching and putting the players in the position to win. The coaches are not coaching, developing, game planning, etc. it was seen on the field last year vs. BYU and GA ST, and we are seeing it now as well.

UF is NOT top tier. Our team showed how deficient we can be on D last week. We lost to UK in our first season at home. This loss is not end all be all. In fact I am very concerned about our game in Knoxville this year and still am despite today.

Today is was JG. O was driving first 2 possessions but got no points. 2nd drive ends in a fumble then 2 pick 6s. Totally deflating to the team. Those turnovers were the main issue.

On the offensive line, there is an old saying that says “ jack of all trades; master of none. This may apply to trying to have the Oline training for all positions instead one position. Another observation is in practice tapes, I see the QBs throwing to uncovered receivers with no defenders in sight. Does this create a problem of throwing so many passes short and not throwing with any ‘touch”? So my optimism has changed a bit. I do think we ran the ball pretty well even with a lot of it being after the game was out of sight and their defense was a playing the pass. Gray and Chandler ran hard and payed well.
We still can not defend the slant or stop the run off the edge well enough to beat the big boys. It will be interesting to see what happens after the Alabama game.
